چکیده
Leptospirosis is considered a bacterial zoonosis of public health importance. It common in tropical areas, especially developing countries with scarce and sanitation resources. This study evaluated the presence Leptospira spp. slaughtered bovine slaughterhouse Midwest region São Paulo, Brazil, as well identified positive animals both serology by molecular analysis. Biological samples blood, liver kidneys from 150 cattle were investigated technique Microscopic Agglutination Test (MAT) conventional Polymerase Chain Reaction (cPCR). The serological results showed that animals, 71 (47.3%) reactive. 21 (14%) five (3.3%) two (1.3%) one (0.7%) animal. These indicate warning about beef due to possibility these being source infection importance occupational characteristic this disease. was also verified complementing techniques.

OBJECTIVES Leptospirosis is one of the most widespread zoonotic infectious diseases affecting humans and animals. Several animal species, including cattle, can act as potential asymptomatic carriers facilitating zoonotic transmission of Leptospira. This study was conducted to assess the occurrence of asymptomatic renal Leptospira carriers among cattle slaughtered in southeastern Georgia, United...
